In this lecture, Rem Koolhaas explains aspects of modernization and
OMA's efforts to understand what that means, espeically as a
number of inventions have changed architecture in a way that
was unimaginable 100 years ago. "In many ways you could explain our
work as an attempt to outwit and deal with situations that don't
simply create nostalgia for the role of the previous archtiect (who
operated in a largely public sector), but strategize ways in which
